If you're in Wisconsin, the answer is, “Constantly changing.” I grew up in glorious WI and so I'm accustomed to being ready for anything. My vehicle is always equipped with an umbrella, a jacket, an ice scraper and mittens cuz you just never know … As I have morning coffee on my front porch, I revel at the stark contrast of the seasons here: winter is Arctic circle-esque and summer is Amazon rainforest-ish. The birds and squirrels survive it all, btw! That's pretty amazing! I find it humorous how the warm air meets me versus how the cold air finds me. Another noteworthy aspect of these wide weather swings is how it keeps us active. Summer brings the mowing of grass, autumn the raking of leaves and winter, the shoveling of snow. Spring could be down time, unless you’re a gardener and then rest is merely a fantasy. No wonder WI is not synonymous with retirement. But that's ok. I think of it as a little-known, hidden gem, preserved in many ways. And it's home, rain or shine. Or blizzard.
